TIP 1: Computer cleaning

Regularly remove settled dust from the cooling fins and fans inside of your computer. This will avoid overheating and result in a cooler and more stable system. You can use a soft, clean paint brush and/or a compressed air spray in combination with a vacuum cleaner. Please also clean the rest of the computer approximatly to avoid settling dust again shortly.

TIP 2: Cautious use of notebooks / laptops

Although notebooks are mobile computers, they are not suitable for usage during transport. Laptops, like all other computers, contain hard disk drives, which in operation are very sensitive to impacts. Therefore, never move your laptop while it is turned on nor hit the computer below the table with your feet or chair legs.

But even when your notebook dropped on the floor, a data rescue usually is still possible.
